I am a Finnish singer/songwriter, musician and actor, probably best known as a member of the band Fork. I will release my second album For the Brave on March 1st 2024. For the Brave consists of 11 songs written by me and I guess you could say they are some kind of modern protest songs. I write about things that bother me and things that make me happy. What I love the most is live performances so I hope to see you at one of my concerts! I was born as Mia Johanna Hafrén in Loviisa, a small town in south-east of Finland, and went to study acting at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki. In the late 90s I formed the band Fork together with three other members. The band is known as one of the world’s leading professional, contemporary a cappella groups, touring the globe with magnificent shows that ”fearlessly combine an impressive range of performing arts”. But all good things must come to an end. Forks last performance was in November 2020. After the group split, I began to write my own music in my mother tongue, Swedish. My first single På andra sidan was released on September 24th, 2021 and the whole album, Också för dig (meaning Also for You) in March 2022. The second album is in English, as you can hear on the singles Easy To Love, Exclusively Yours and Goodness (a letter to a dictator). I also work as a actor and as a brief therapist.
